Dr. James Jeffrey Bradstreet is a DAN! (Defeat Autism Now!) Doctor and American Autism researcher, from Melbourne, Florida. He runs the Wellness Centre in Burford, Georgia.
He claims his mission is to positively impact autistic children's lives by meeting their biological, behavioural, and nutritional needs, by identifying and addressing the underlying issues. This can be achieved, he believes, by healing the brain, gut and immune system. He feels he can create "A window of hope. "

Unsurprisingly, he was unable to substantiate his beliefs and research in court.
Dr Bradstreet, believes that high levels of mercury in the body plays a key roll in autism, treating hundreds of autistic children over the years. His treatments include a wide variety of dietary supplements, infusions and chelation. Most of his treatments are not FDA approved.

Dr Bradstreet met a young boy called Colten Snyder in 1999. He started an evaluation for his development delay and started to help him on a bio-medical basis. He felt Colten had autism, a yeast overgrowth and immune issues, and started him off on antibiotics. The young boy was then put through lots of unnecessary tests. Blood works, testing his levels of mercury, spinal fluid, and tissue and intestinal biopsies were taken. The tests came back within the normal range, however, he was then subjected to a course of chelation.
Dr Bradstreet would soon be called to give evidence as the treating physician in the Colten Snyder case, claiming that he had a “post-vaccinal encephalopathy;" encephalitis, caused by vaccination, which they claim led to autistic behaviours. The court found that Dr Bradstreet's claims were not even substantiated by his own notes. The case was dissmissed ! Please feel free to read the court case below. It is nearly 300 pages long, and contains information about this doctor right throughout the document. For a quick read, pages 255-259 give insight into his claims and why they were dismissed.
