Subject: Please Stop MMS and GcMaf
MHRA contacts below:
Please send to Jeffrey Clements and cc his colleagues Alastair Jeffrey and Gerald Heddell below.
Dear MHRA, NSPCC and Trading Standards.
We are concerned Autistic people, Mothers and Fathers of Autistic children and concerned Onlookers who want the authorities to do their job which is to protect society especially children from dangerous illegal products.
We have also seen criminal investigations open in Ireland into parents using MMS on their Autistic children and also those supplying MMS for sale.
In America we have seen the conviction of one Daniel Smith who sold MMS and is now facing a jail term of 30 years.
However, we are shocked to see this issue not being sufficiently addressed in the UK.
We appreciate that investigations are a lengthy process but it is shocking to see websites that were reported many months ago still operating and selling both MMS and GcMAF.
If anything what we are seeing is these MMS/GcMAF Websites expanding.
We want at least to see the Websites selling these illegal 'Treatments' shut down.
We want the MHRA to tackle this situation like their colleagues in Ireland the HPRA who acted swiftly when hearing about establishments selling MMS. HPRA raided premises; which was reported as selling MMS, within 24 hours of notification. All MMS products and any associated material were immediately confiscated.
This has not happened in the UK and sadly the websites we have reported many months ago are still up and running and profiting from selling these dangerous 'Treatments'
We want their websites shut down and their illegal practices investigated.
We are therefore requesting that the MHRA, NSPCC and Trading Standards take urgent action on this issue now.
Please see website below for further information regarding MMS, GcMAf and our Campaign.
**** This is the positive reply many of us have received. Let's hope we see some action very soon :) . *****
Thank you for your email, I have been asked to respond to you regarding the MHRA position.
As you may be aware from previous communications, the Food Standards Agency (FSA) is leading on the investigation into the sale and supply of MMS products with assistance from the MHRA and Trading Standards. MMS has no proven, or conceivable, health benefit and as you may already know, MHRA considered whether MMS oral supplements fell within the definition of a medical product a number of years ago. Given the lack of proven efficacy, we regarded it to be more appropriate for action to be taken under food law, and the Food Standards Agency subsequently issued advice in this regard.
The FSA remains the single point of contact for enquiries from members of the public; this ensures that all information is contained in a single location and a coordinated approach and consistent message is maintained.
Consequently, I am forwarding your concerns and emails directly to the investigating officer at the FSA and will ask that they make contact with you.
I hope this is of assistance and I thank you for bringing this to our attention.
